Joana brings warmth, creativity, and a multicultural lens to her work with children, teens, adults, and couples. She specializes in life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, offering individual and couples counseling.

Joana draws from Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Expressive Art Techniques, and Sand Play Therapy to support healing and growth. Joana is trained and also offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).
She believes in the power of connection, resilience, and storytelling as tools for transformation.
In addition to her clinical work, Joana teaches in the Graduate Counseling Program at The College of New Jersey
